  We stayed at this hotel, because it was available during the Vancouver Hockey Championship final, when there was almost no hotels are available in downtown Vancouver on Thursday and Friday. Luckily they had a room available for us for five consecutive days. Nice staff during the night.

  It was old and needs to be updated. The business center was small and had only one computer. Even if you need to print out things, it costs you 20 cents per page. They didn't replace the ink cartridge, even if guests complained about it. Instead, they used a shaking method..... ( shook the cartridge and put it back). Their complimentary shuttle service only run 4 times a day (7am, 8am, 9am, and 4 pm) and only accommodate for 6 people max. Considering where it is located they should have a real "complimentary" shuttle service to downtown at all times like the other hotels do.

  Marco was very helpful in helping us with parking our large vehicle ina suitable location: great service.

  The pool seemed kind of dingy and didn't seem all that clean. There were large amounts of sand on the bottom and the water seemed kind of cloudy.

  the rooms online do not at all match the actual rooms was dissapointed with the money i spent to get a room that looked like it hadnt been remodeled since the early 80's

  great views, private patio, large layout and discounted price.

  Did not like paying an additional $25 for parking. Parking facilities should be an included service to their guests. Would rather see a rate discount to guests who do not occupy a parking space. At least not $25 for the day...$7 to $12 would be more reasonable.

  The location was nicely situated. It was great that the hotel was dog friendly. And we were upgraded to another room, which was nice.

  There was construction at the hotel which I believe should have been posted. There was construction mud (concrete) all over our deck from falling concrete above. There was a sign in the room which said not to use the deck during the week...but I think if we could use the deck on off hours and during the weekends, the mud should be cleaned up and removed.

  the air conditioning unit was odd, noisy and hard to keep a constant ambient temperature. Also, I would prefer the shower curtains that are rounded so that they don't blow into the bathtub.

  No one mentioned they were under renovation. The noise was horrible. They did move me to another floor, which I appreciated. But I would not have stayed there in the first place had I known.

  The location of the Coast Plaza was fantastic! We were 2 short blocks away from the beach at English Bay and Stanley Park. We could walk along the sea wall to a water taxi that took us to Granville Island and Vanier Park. A couple of blocks in the other direction took us to Robson street; a mecca for shoppers. There were more restaurants than you could count as well as coffee shops and places for treats. We could have spent far more than the 2 days we were there and never run out of places to explore.

  This hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The lobby and common areas are in good shape, but our room was quite run down. The furniture was very old; wobbly and covered with scratches. The kitchen was ancient with burn marks on the counters and drawers that fell out if you tried to open them. The bed linens were in good shape, but the mattresses were worn out. We had to take the mattress of the sofa bed and put it on the floor in an attempt to make it comfortable for the kids. Even then, they were getting poked by loose springs! For the price we paid, I expected much more. I would recommend this hotel based on location with a warning about the sub-standard rooms.
